Every job and receipt in your car's service history

Car Care: Maintenance Tracker is a free car maintenance app for iPhone that keeps your car's service history. Each service holds its date, mileage and service center, every job with its price, and details such as the oil that went in. Attach the receipt as a photo or PDF, and add the services from before you started with their own date and mileage.

One service for everything done on a visit

A service is one visit to a service center, and it holds every job done there. An oil change and new wiper blades on the same visit each get their own price and notes, along with the details you will want next time, such as the oil's specification, brand and viscosity. Labor or a shop fee can go on as a cost line of its own, and the service adds up to the total you paid.

Save the service center with it: the name, address, phone number, website and a pin on the map. When you book the next visit, the number is there on the last one.

Log work you did yourself as one record

An air filter you changed yourself on a Saturday goes straight on its maintenance item as a single record, with the date, mileage, price and notes. The record restarts the item's reminder just as a service would, so the next air filter change comes up on time.

Keep the receipt with the record

Attach receipts, invoices and other documents as photos or PDFs, to a service or to a single record. The paper from the shop stays next to the work it describes, and you can find it again when a part fails under warranty. To skip the typing, scan the receipt, and Car Care fills in the service with each job and its price.

Add the services from before you started

Add each past service yourself, with the date and mileage it happened at, from the paper service book or the receipts that came with a used car. Once the latest service of each item is in, your reminders count from where the car really is.

What was done, and when

Look back over any period, down to a single month, and see each job that was done. The price of every job also counts toward what the car costs you per month and per year.

Questions and answers

Can I log maintenance I did myself?

Yes. Log work you did on the car yourself as a single record on that maintenance item, and its reminder starts counting again. A visit to a service center goes in as a service, so every job done there stays together with its price and the shop's details.

Do past services I add update my reminders?

Yes. Each maintenance item counts from its latest record, so once you add your last oil change with its date and mileage, the oil reminder counts from there. A paper service book moves into Car Care the same way, one past service at a time.

Does each car keep its own service history?

Can I back up my service history?

Yes. Car Care exports all your data to a backup file, and you can import it again whenever you need it. Day to day, your records stay on your iPhone and sync through your own private iCloud, with no account to create.
