Car Care: Maintenance Tracker is a free car maintenance app for iPhone that keeps separate records for every car you own, with no limit on how many. Each car has its own maintenance reminders, service history, fuel log, trips, costs and documents. An oil change on your partner's car stays in that car's history, and its receipt never turns up among the records of yours.
Add every car in the household
The car you drive to work, the family hybrid and the convertible that comes out in summer each go in with their current mileage. Add a photo of each car to tell them apart at a glance, and keep its VIN with it if you like.
Each car gets maintenance items that fit it
Every car has its own powertrain, and its list of maintenance items follows it. A gasoline car starts with engine oil, spark plugs and the timing belt, and a diesel gets the particulate filter and AdBlue. An electric car gets items for its electric drive.
Each car also starts from its own recommended intervals. Change the oil interval on one car to match its owner's manual, and the other cars keep theirs. Every item counts from that car's own mileage and records, so work done on one car leaves the reminders of the others where they were.
Trips, services, fill-ups and costs for each car
Link each car to its Bluetooth or CarPlay, and Car Care saves every recorded trip to the car you drove. Every service you log goes into that car's own service history, and every fill-up into its own fuel log. What you pay adds up per car, so each car shows its own costs per month, per year and overall.
Questions and answers
How many cars can I add to Car Care?
As many as you own. There is no limit on the number of cars, and Car Care is free however many you add.
Can I track oil changes and service history for two cars in one app?
Yes. Add both cars to Car Care, and each one keeps its own engine oil item with its own interval, mileage and reminder. An oil change you log on one car restarts that car's reminder and goes into that car's service history only.
Can I track a diesel car and an electric car together?
Yes. You set the powertrain for each car, and each one gets the maintenance items that fit it. The diesel keeps its engine items, and the electric car gets items for its electric drive, such as the high-voltage battery.
Does each car keep its own receipts and documents?
Yes. A receipt, invoice or insurance policy you attach stays on the record it belongs to, in that car's history, so each car's paperwork is kept with its own services and renewals.
Can I remove a car I no longer own?
Yes. Delete the car, and Car Care removes it together with all its records and documents. Deleting is permanent, so export a backup file first if you want to keep the car's history.
