What Car Care does for your car
Car Care: Maintenance Tracker is a free car maintenance app for iPhone with every feature included. It reminds you when service is due, by mileage or by time, whichever comes first, and keeps each car's service history, trips, fuel log and costs.
What each feature does

Maintenance reminders
Maintenance reminders tell you when an oil change or any other service is due. The 36 built-in items run from engine oil to the timing belt, and electric, hybrid and diesel cars get items of their own.
Receipt scanning
Log a service without typing it in. Photograph your mechanic's receipt, printed or handwritten, or attach its PDF, and receipt scanning fills in one service record with the date, the mileage, the service center and every job with its price.
Service history
Every visit stays in the car's service history with its jobs and prices, and the receipt stays attached. Work you did yourself and services from before you started with Car Care go in too.
Trip log
Turn on trip detection and the trip log records each drive with its route, distance and driving time.
Fuel log
See your fuel economy in MPG or L/100 km and what you spend on fuel. The fuel log works them out from the gallons or liters, the price and the odometer reading you enter at each fill-up.
Car costs
Car Care adds up what your car costs per month, per year and overall, and a 12-month chart splits the total by maintenance category and fuel.
Multiple cars
Add every car in the household, with no limit on how many. Each keeps its own reminders, service history, fuel log, trips and costs, so the records of several cars never get mixed up.
Data and privacy
Start without creating an account. Your records stay on your iPhone and sync through your own private iCloud, and Car Care does not track you across other apps or websites.
A receipt, a drive or a fill-up updates your reminders and costs
The features share one set of records, so one scan, drive or fill-up updates several features at once. That is why everyday jobs around your car, such as a service visit or an insurance renewal, need little typing.
After a visit for an oil change and new spark plugs, one scan of the receipt puts the visit in the car's service history, starts both jobs' next reminders right away and counts their prices toward what the car costs.
With trip detection on, each recorded drive adds its distance to the odometer. The mileage reminders count down from the miles the car has driven, so the next oil change comes due on time without you typing in a reading. Distances are in miles or kilometers, as you choose.
Each fill-up's price goes into the car's fuel spending. Services and renewals add their prices as well, so the monthly and yearly costs build up from records you already keep.
